As of 2002 Bhima Pty Ltd will change its name and trade under Invermien Pty Ltd. Invermien is the name of the adjoining and larger property of the two that currently trade under the Bhima banner.
Invermien homestead is the oldest in the Scone area built in the 1830's. It was on all maps of the period as the area name before it was changed to Scone. The two streams, Middlebrook and Kingdon Ponds, that run through the Bhima/Invermien properties converge into one below the homestead and Invermien is an old Gaelic word meaning the meeting of two waters.
It has history and meaning and the fact that it has not run thoroughbreds before gives the White Family an opportunity to create their own history in the thoroughbred industry under the new identity. They will commence selling their yearlings under the Invermien name at the Magic Millions Sale in January 2003.
The White's will continue using their famous RL brand that was first used at their Robrick Lodge Property before the move to Scone. This brand has crossed the line as a winner many times throughout Australasia. There is no doubt that you can continue to expect a first class yearling crop and subsequent winners from Invermien Pty Ltd as they forge into a new era of thoroughbred breeding.
